Responsibilities
Within our Electrical Team, we focus on providing a high-quality service ensuring that our machinery meets the highest electrical standards. You will work on diverse projects for major brands and be responsible for the correct completion of installing electrical components to complex machines that are shipped all around the world.
As an Electrical Engineer you will;
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements.
Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation.
Be responsible for panel building, machine wiring, testing and completing documentation to UL508A standards/ BS EN 60204.
Be proactive in fault finding and quality checks.
Be able to comprehensively follow Electrical Schematic Diagrams and amend if necessary.
Mount components, sub-assemblies into electrical panels.
Be able to demonstrate basic mechanical fitting i.e. drilling, hole punching, tapping.
Maintain production build & quality control documentation in line with company procedures.
Build relationships with our in-house design team to resolve build and design issues.
Become a mentor for apprentices supporting their knowledge and skills development
Be an advocate for continuous improvement and seek to find improved ways or working
Experience Requirements
Significant experience as an electrician in the capital equipment market.
Strong ability to read electrical schematic drawings.
Proactive problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of PLC controls / programming – not essential but would be beneficial.
Positive team player with the ability to coach junior members of the team
Ability to travel to install machines – not necessary but would be beneficial.
