Finance Assistant

Due to rapid growth seen in the business, a vacancy has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance team.

The Responsibilities:

Part of a small team this will be a varied and hands on position and the candidate will play a pivotal role in the team. The main duties are:

  • On-going support to the Purchase Ledger Clerk (e.g. Process invoices, Query resolution, and filing) especially so during busy periods and vacation cover.
  • Multi-currency weekly & monthly bank Payments.
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll, maintain records, and keep up-to-date with relevant legislation.
  • HR tasks including HR database maintenance.
  • Petty & Foreign cash control.
  • Credit card processing.
  • Accounts Receivable and credit control.
  • Cover for reception duties.

The Candidate:

The company is going through a period of system and process change so the candidate must be flexible in their approach and enjoy a challenge. We are looking for someone who can happily work on their own or as part of a team. They will be energetic and pro-active, enjoy their work, and are customer focused.

The candidate must be friendly, have a good sense of humour, and have the confidence to communicate with all levels of stakeholders, including international customers and suppliers.

Previous finance and payroll exposure is essential as you will be expected to hit the ground running. An accountancy/business qualification would assist your application but is not essential; the most important attribute is your experience.

Skilled Mechanical Fitter

Job salary: £12.94/hr with potential to exceed £40k per annum with installation work & overtime, 5 weeks paid holiday plus statutory bank holidays.

Job purpose:

As part of the assembly team they will be expected to carry out all activities related to that department including, but not limited to:

  • General assembly of major and sub-assemblies
  • Refurbishment work of second hand machinery
  • Setting and adjustment of machines during run up
  • Participation in development work
  • Opportunities to participate in installations worldwide

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • A broad experience of Fitting practices.
  • Problem solving and a logical mind.
  • Able to work on own with little supervision also able to work within a team.
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements and a self-motivator.
  • Product knowledge of packaging machines and special-purpose machines desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to read and follow detailed assembly drawings.
  • A willingness to travel worldwide would be advantageous

Pay and conditions:

38 hours per week over 4 days.

Mon-Wed 07:00-17:15

Thursday 07:00-16:15

Generous overseas allowances

Pay £12.94/hr with potential to exceed £40k per annum with installation work & overtime, 5 weeks paid holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
